As a firm of Solicitors instructed in debt collection matters, we operate on a No Win No Fee basis for undisputed debt recovery services instructed as an external agency by clients to recover a debt, interest, and charges. This includes initial contact up to and including enforcement of the debt. We charge a fee based on a percentage of the sum due to the client. With such fee being invoiced to the supplier but retained by Beeston Shenton as recovered costs. The client will be responsible for paying disbursements incurred on their behalf.
The percentage rate is always discussed and agreed with the client at the outset of the instructions and before the firm undertakes any debt collection.
Should the outstanding debt amount become disputed, then we will charge costs in accordance with the Fee Earner’s charge rate from time to time, which at the present time is £245 plus vat per hour (not on a No Win No Fee basis).
The likely disbursements to be incurred are:-
- Process Server/Tracing Agent estimated £100 plus vat
- Land Registry Office Copies £3 per document
- Court fee (if proceedings are necessary) can range from £35 up to 5% of the total claim.
