Newcastle under Lyme

An exciting opportunity has arisen to build our well respected team based in North Staffordshire but able to travel to meeting rooms in South Cheshire

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Employment law Solicitor with a minimum of 3 – 5 years PQE to progress their career. You will bring skills and experience sufficient to head up & help us grow a new Employment Law Department.

You must have experience of dealing with a varied caseload including representing individuals and companies on both sides of employment work as well as have experience of the many different types of case which can arise in this field of law and be able to confidently manage high volume and complex work.

The ideal candidate will have contacts with businesses who require employment law work to be undertaken either representing them on internal matters such as drafting of contracts of employment, grievance or redundancy issues and of course in court proceedings.

The candidate should be experienced in all different types of funding such claims be it privately funded, insurance based or on a no win no fee basis.

Experience using case management and digital dictation is essential, as is the ability work with online portals and take part in digital marketing campaigns to promote the team and its work. You must be able to travel for meetings and court purposes and preferably have your own car.

Networking and partnership working form part of this key role and afford the successful candidate the opportunity to build a reputation and high level profile.

Salary based on experience £40,000 – £45,000

Family Law Legal Assistant/Para-Legal –Newcastle under Lyme.

Full-time position – Newcastle under Lyme

An opportunity has arisen to join our well-established and growing firm in Staffordshire.  We have an excellent reputation and are dynamic and forward thinking.  This is a great opportunity for the right person to join us as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in our Family Team based at our Newcastle under Lyme office.

Ideally at least two years experience in a similar role is required.  You will provide dedicated administrative and legal support to the Family Law Team including providing quotations to clients, drafting legal documents, preparing electronic court bundles and forms, obtaining and checking client identification and liaising with clients both by telephone and face to face (when safe to do so). May also be required to attend court on occasions.

Our ideal candidate will have superb client care skills, excellent organizational skills, be a strong team player and have the ability to work on their own initiative and alone when solicitors are at court.  A positive and solution focused approach is essential. You will have the opportunity to also meet with clients and take instructions.

You will have experience of using Microsoft Office on a daily basis as well as having experience of using case management, digital dictation and other ICT systems.  

Starting Salary £20,000
